Well, not quite. A few different anti-aging product manufacturers are now incorporating a synthetic ingredient called Syn-ake, which is supposed to work by relaxing facial muscles to reduce wrinkles.
The idea was born after researchers had an epiphany and decided to see if they could find a way to facilitate the relaxing effect snake venom has on the muscles of their prey (paralysis), while getting rid of the whole dangerous and potentially deadly aspect of it all.

Some of the anti-aging brands that are using the synthetic formula include Borba, Syence, Sonya Dakar, and Planet Skincare. Chances are you’ll be hearing more about Syn-ake (and the products that contain it) in the near future, as they are rapidly been growing in popularity. In fact, Gwenyth Paltrow is rumored to be a big fan of the Sonya Dakar cream that contains Syn-ake.
