Sunscreen!
We cannot stress the importance of sunblock enough. If it sounds like we’re beating a dead horse, we’re sorry, but it’s only because it is really that important. Both young and old folks and everyone in between should be regularly using a strong sunscreen (SPF 30 should do the trick). This is especially important in the spring, because most of us have had little sun exposure during the winter months and now our skin is exceptionally vulnerable to sun damage. Avoiding overexposure to the sun will not only help prevent acne breakouts, but it will also prevent premature signs of aging. Do yourself a favor for today as well as the future by using sunblock daily.
Consider a New Moisturizer
The ideal moisturizer for the wintertime may not necessarily be the best choice for spring. Depending on your skin type, you may find that a lighter (less oily) moisturizer may be all that is needed in the spring. Avoiding moisturizers that are heavy in the oil department will of course reduce your chances of breaking out. Also, going back to the first tip, you may want to look for a moisturizer that doubles as a sunblock to save yourself some time (and possibly some money).
Make it a Routine
Trust me, I know how easy it is in the cold winter time to skip a nightly face wash here or there when the bathroom is freezing and the water takes forever to heat up. We’re not passing judgment here, but now that things are warming back up, it’s the perfect time to get back into the swing of things. No matter what your own personal skin care routine is, the most important elements are that it works for you and that it is consistent.

Most importantly, enjoy your spring!
