Smokers – Unless you’ve been living in a cave since the turn of the century, you should already know that there are serious health risks associated with smoking tobacco products. Okay, she’s not 29 years old. Just wanted to get your attention. Smoking is still incredibly hazardous to your skin. In fact, second only to the sun, cigarette smoke ages the human skin faster than anything else. Therefore, if you’re in the middle of a battle against aging and taking breaks to have a smoke…you’re doing it wrong! Not only is it detrimental to your skin, but research has also proven that the harmful effects of cigarette smoke on human skin is even worse for women in particular.
The United States gains one million new smokers every single year. Many of them are young women who have no idea (or at least haven’t stopped to consider) that smoking can accelerate aging. It has also been proven that nicotine found in cigarettes is actually more addicting for women.
