For those of us familiar with the Oprah Winfrey show on ABC, Dr. Oz has become a household name. His no-nonsense approach to educating us about our bodies and how to improve our overall health is greatly appreciated by both women and men all over the country. Today, Dr. Oz paid another visit to the Oprah show, this time with some fantastic anti-aging tips.

To sum it all up in short, Dr. Oz offered a list called the “Ultimate Anti-Aging Checklist”, which is as follows:

  1. Food
  2. Exercise
  3. Meditation
  4. Sleep and Sex
  5. Vitamins

Food
As far as food (a real popular one for myself in particular), Dr Oz covered the specific foods you should be eating regularly, especially those rich in antioxidants. Vegetables like broccoli are strongly encouraged. Dr. Oz also went on to mention the powerful anti-aging benefits of green and white tea as well as the incredibly popular and antioxidant rich acai berry from South America.

Sleep and Sex
Getting sufficient sleep is crucial to rejuvenate your body and prepare you for the next day. Accumulating a sleep deficit may cause signs of aging to become more prevalent. It’s imperative that you make sleep a priority. Also, while in the bedroom, keep in mind that having sex between 2-3 times a week is both beneficial for men and women. Men will experience a boost in testosterone levels, while women experience higher levels of oxytocin.
